As we honor our history, we celebrate and harness the resilience, joy, and traditions of our ancestors. Our collective future can be made more free by utilizing the lessons of history. Culture events such as this one are free and open to the public. The event is a must-attend for anyone who believes in freedom. We are exploring the intersections of imagination, technology, the future, and liberation in this year's theme of Afro-futurism.

Hosted at the Hjemkomst center. This event had local performers, films, art and much more.

Fred Edwards and Clarence Monpleh curated this year's film and art festival. Clarence is a 15-year-old high school student with a strong interest in film and media. For six months, they planned and executed an event showcasing the African Diaspora and the resistance of our people. There were performances, free snacks and vendors at this year's event, as well as the presentation of the first ever Destiny Holiday award. Youth were the driving force behind this event. Panelists, performers, and volunteers were all from the youth community. As part of the event, local community members showcased their art, culture, and films, as well as Clarence showing a short film.
